Location and Public Transport

All IWNET 2022 workshop events will be held on the campus of the University of Victoria, about 8 km from downtown Victoria.

To faciltitate exchange and discussions coffee breaks, lunches and evening meals will be provided at the workshop site. We recommend participants use campus housing (see below) to avoid lengthy travel times between downtown hotels and UVic.

In Summer, Victoria is a busy tourist destination, hence hotels tend to be busy, and relatively costly. For those chosing to stay downtown nevertheless, BC Transit provides bus service between downtown and UVic (30-40 minutes) until about midnight: Bus Map UVic→Downtown
